As March 13 comes around the corner the ears of New Orleans locals begin to perk up, because that could only mean one thing: Lark In the Park. This year SÖPÖ is a proud sponsor of an incredible event helping to raise funds for City Park, and as an added bonus, our very own Robin Borne will be working as Co-Chair for the event! We are all so excited, and hope you are too. To get us all in the party spirit, I asked Robin a few questions about Lark in the Park, like what we can expect, and more.
"Lark in the Park raises money for the organization Friends of City Park, the fundraising arm for the park for projects. This year, all proceeds will go towards raising money for the Endowment, so the park can be available for all generations to come. Our theme this year is Celebrate Your Park- Past, Present, and Future Memories."

It's so great that we get these chances to give back. Now, we have out tickets. What can we expect at the event?
"A beautiful night in the Botanical gardens featuring Live entertainment by Luke Winslow King, the Rose Garden piano bar with Brian Coogan, special performance by Bobcat the aerialist, specialty cocktails, and delicious food from over 40 of the best New Orleans restaurants, a food truck by Theo's Pizza. We will also feature a raffle ticket drawing for a Roberto Coin piece of jewelry donated by Lee Michaels. You can also buy a raffle ticket for a Bryan Subaru Treck car. We will also feature both a LIVE and silent auction."
Sounds to good to be true! Now on the personal side of things, what made you want to get involved with Lark in the Park?
"Similar to so many New Orleanians, I have fond memories of City Park from childhood. I have a scar on my knee from falling off of my bike there! My dad, who grew up only a few blocks from my current home, took me to City Park often to ride the train, explore story land, and visit NOMA. But mainly, we went there to feed the ducks, a fun activity I know do with my daughter. Also, I got engaged at City Park under one of the grand oaks.
With that said, we all need City Park. We all need a public place available to everyone to enjoy the natural environment of the lagoons while observing the animals such as swan, ducks, turtles, etc. It's so important."
The park is so important, and this event will reflect the significance of it's presence and need for donations to continue on for years to come. So, of coarse, we want to look our best, and what better designer to help us do so that Nadia Tarr? In your opinion, why is Nadia Tarr the perfect line to look to when getting ready for this event?
"Nadia Tarr makes sense not only for Lark in the Park, but for living in New Orleans. Lark in the Park is an amazing, elegant event that brings its fashion A-game. Most women wear cocktail, but with a garden-chic spin. Remember- the event takes place outside in the gardens, so we must dress reasonably. Nadia Tarr is one of those great lines that can easily be dressed up or down with the right accessories and styling. A statement necklace and fun shoes with a Nadia Tarr simple dress would make a fetching outfit for Lark! Her pieces have great silhouettes, they're figure flattering, and they're so easy to wear."
Well, there ya have it! we hope to see you all there, with a drink (and donations) in hand.
